The revitalisation of the ground floor approach and entrance lobby of an established apartment building. Strategic, indirect lighting turns the beige sandstone into the material event of the space, with walls washed in warm light and shadows kept deliberate.
Unused internal and external common areas were activated as places residents actually pass through and pause in: a planted court, a water garden, benches under the new timber soffit. The project shows how far an old building can move with light, landscape and restraint.
